The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 these are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
