If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand? 68 We did not teach him (to wit, the Messenger) poetry and it does not behove him. This is none but an Admonition, and a Clear Book 69 To warn the living*, and to prove the Word against disbelievers. (Only the believers are deemed alive in Allah’s sight.) 70 Have they not seen how that We have created for them of that Our hands wrought cattle that they own? 71 And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat. 72 And they have (other) benefits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink, will they not then be grateful? 73 Yet they take (for worship) gods other than Allah, (hoping) that they might be helped! 74 They are not able to give them succour; whereas they shall be against them host brought forward. 75 Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose. 76 Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge semen drops). Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open opponent. 77 And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" 78 Say, "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life again: He has knowledge of every type of creation: 79 "The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! ye kindle therewith (your own fires)! 80 Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. 81 And His only task when He intends a thing is to command it, “Be” – and it thereupon happens! 82 Holy is He Who has full control over everything, and to Him you shall all be recalled. 83
