Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 And (the tribe of) A'ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
