Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 [How could they?] Are thy Sustainer's treasures with them? Or are they in charge [of destiny]? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 when their stratagem shall be of no avail to them, nor shall they be succoured. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, 48 and extol His glory at night, and at the time when the stars retreat. 49
