Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
