The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
