۞ Proclaim, “I advise you just one thing; that stand up for Allah's sake, in twos and ones, and then think”; there is not a trace of insanity in this companion of yours; he is not but a Herald of Warning for you, before the advent of a severe punishment! 46 Say: 'I have asked no wage of you; that shall be yours. My wage falls only upon God; and He is witness over everything.' 47 Say to them: “My Lord hurls down the Truth (upon me). He knows fully all that lies beyond the range of perception.” 48 Say to them, "The Truth has come and will endure. Falsehood has no power to originate any good, nor to reproduce it." 49 Say: "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near." 50 Ah, if thou couldst see when they are terrified, and there is no escape, and they are seized from a place near at hand, 51 And they will [then] say, "We believe in it!" But how for them will be the taking [of faith] from a place far away? 52 When they disbelieved in it of yore. They aim at the unseen from afar off. 53 And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire [i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.], as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt. 54
