But [let them always remember that] if We lengthen a human being's days, We also cause him to decline in his powers [when he grows old]: will they not, then, use their reason? 68 We have not taught (Muhammad) to versify, nor is it worthy of him. This is nothing but a reminder and illuminating discourse, 69 In order that it may warn him who is alive, and that the sentence may be justified on the infidels. 70 Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners, 71 We have subjected these to them, so that some may be used for riding and some for food, 72 And they have (other) profits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink. Will they not then be grateful? 73 And they have taken gods besides Allah that they may be helped. 74 They have not the power to help them: but they will be brought up (before Our Judgment-seat) as a troop (to be condemned). 75 Let not their words grieve you. Surely We know all things about them, what they conceal and what they reveal. 76 Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge semen drops). Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open opponent. 77 And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" 78 Say: "He who brought them into being in the first instance will give them life [once again,] seeing that He has full knowledge of every act of creation: 79 who has made fire for you from the green tree with which you kindle' 80 Is He who created the heavens and the earth unable to create their like? Yes, indeed, He is the Creator, the Knower. 81 His command, when He desires a thing, is to say to it 'Be,' and it is. 82 So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned. 83
