And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 In Our sight they are among the chosen and excellent ones. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 They will enter gardens of Eden with their gates open for them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ And with them will be virgins of refraining looks and of equal age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 They say: Nay, but you (misleaders), for you there is no word of welcome. Ye prepared this for us (by your misleading). Now hapless is the plight. 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will say, "Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
