Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 and produce sparks 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And therein raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
