Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha'. Mim. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high of this divine writ issues from God, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those who believe. 3 And in your creation, and all the creatures He scatters in the earth – in them are signs for the people who are certain. 4 And in the alternation of night and day, and the provision (rain) that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the turning about of the winds (i.e. sometimes towards the east or north, and sometimes towards the south or west etc., sometimes bringing glad tidings of rain etc., and sometimes bringing the torment), are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and His communications? 6 Woe unto every liar, sinner! 7 Who hears the revelations of God being recited to him, yet persists in denying with arrogance as though he had never heard them! So warn him of a painful punishment. 8 When he comes to know something of Our messages he makes fun of them: For them is shameful punishment. 9 Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment. 10 Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord's revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. 11
