The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
