And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who sees you when you stand 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
