NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 When both receivers (the angels) receive, one on his right, the other on his left, 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 The palsy of death will surely come. This is what you wished to avert. 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And one part of him will say: "This it is that has been ever-present with me!" 23 [Allah will say], "Throw into Hell every obstinate disbeliever, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
