Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
