The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
