Al-Imraan 14 of 20
O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubling and quadrupling (the sum lent). Observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful. 130 and beware of the fire which awaits those who deny the truth! 131 And pay heed unto God and the Apostle, so that you might be graced with mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another, hastening to forgiveness from your Lord, and to a garden whose breadth is as the heavens and earth, prepared for the godfearing 133 Those who spend (freely), whether in prosperity, or in adversity; who restrain anger, and pardon (all) men;- for Allah loves those who do good;- 134 And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins; - and none can forgive sins but Allah - And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know. 135 Those, their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where they shall live for ever. How excellent is the wage of those who labor. 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 This is a clear statement for men, and a guidance and an admonition to those who guard (against evil). 138 And faint not, nor grieve; ye shall overcome, if ye are believers. 139 If misfortune touches you, [know that] similar misfortune has touched [other] people as well; for it is by turns that We apportion unto men such days [of fortune and misfortune]: and [this] to the end that God might mark out those who have attained to faith, and choose from among you such as [with their lives] bear witness to the truth - since God does not love evildoers 140 And that Allah may purge those who believe and destroy the infidels. 141 Or deemed ye that ye would enter paradise while yet Allah knoweth not those of you who really strive, nor knoweth those (of you) who are steadfast? 142 For, indeed, you did long for death [in God's cause] before you came face to face with it; and now you have seen it with your own eyes! 143
