۞ And those who do not expect to meet Us said, “Why were the angels not sent down to us or we been able to see our Lord?” Indeed they thought too highly of themselves and they turned extremely rebellious. 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 We shall turn to their deeds and scatter them like particles of dust. 23 The dwellers of Paradise on that day will have the best residence and resting place. 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 the Kingdom that day, the true Kingdom, shall belong to the All-merciful and it shall be a day harsh for the unbelievers. 26 And the day when the unjust one shall bite his hands saying: O! would that I had taken a way with the Apostle 27 Oh, would that I had never chosen such a one for my companion -- 28 He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people." 29 And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. 30 And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the sinners and sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper. 31 The unbelievers say, 'Why has the Koran not been sent down upon him all at once?' Even so, that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have chanted it very distinctly. 32 They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34
