Hast thou not observed thine lord - how He hath stretched out the shadow? And if He had willed He would have made it still. Then We have made the sun for it an indication. 45 thereafter We seize it to Ourselves, drawing it gently. 46 It is He who has made the night as a covering for you, sleep as a rest for you, and the day for you to rise again. 47 And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain), and We send down pure water from the sky, 48 so that He may revive the dead land, and quench the thirst of many of His creatures from among beasts and men. 49 And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief. 50 And if We had willed, We would have raised up in each town a warner. 51 Se obey not thou the infidels, but strive against them therewith with a great striving. 52 ۞ It was He who let forth the two seas, this one is palatably sweet and this salt, a bitter taste, and He set a barrier between them, and a refuge which is forbidden. 53 It is He who created man from water, then gave him consanguinity and affinity. Your Lord is omnipotent. 54 Yet they worship, instead of Allah, those who can neither benefit them nor harm them: more than this, the disbeliever has become a helper of every rebel against his Lord. 55 We have sent thee not, except good tidings to bear, and warning. 56 Tell them: "I do not ask any recompense of you for this other than (urging) whoever likes may take the way to his Lord." 57 And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;- 58 The One Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then befitting His Majesty, established Himself upon the Throne (of control); the Most Gracious – therefore ask the one who knows, concerning Him! 59 Yet when they [who are bent on denying the truth are told, "Prostrate yourselves before the Most Gracious" they are wont to ask, "And [who and] what is the Most Gracious? Are we to prostrate ourselves before whatever thou biddest us [to worship]?" - and so [thy call] but increases their aversion, ۩ 60
