The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
