T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: "O Moses! 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may show you [some] of Our greater signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
