The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
