And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
