The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 hell is made to blaze, 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the close of night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
