The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 and by the day as it appears radiantly, 2 and by the creation of the male and the female. 3 surely your striving is to diverse ends. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- 6 for him shall We make easy the path towards [ultimate] ease. 7 But as for him who is a miser, and self-sufficient, 8 and calls the ultimate good a lie 9 We shall surely ease for him the Path of Hardship (the Fire). 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 who have rejected the (Truth) and have turned away from it. 16 He will be far away from the most pious. (The first Caliph S. Abu Bakr Siddiq) 17 [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
