Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 And recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a man from ringing clay of loam moulded. 28 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My Spirit fall down unto him prostrate. 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself' 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 Allah said: "For sure you are granted respite 37 for an appointed time." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all! 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44
