And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
