Al-Inshiqaaq
The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
25 verses, revealed in Mecca after Shattering (Al-Infitaar) before The Romans (Al-Room)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky is torn apart, 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 And when the earth shall be stretched forth. 3 and casts out all that is within and voids itself, 4 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 he shall surely receive an easy reckoning 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 But he who is given his Record behind his back,- 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 but he will enter the blazing flame. 12 Truly, did he go about among his people, rejoicing! 13 Verily he imagined that he would not be back. 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 I swear by the twilight; 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And the moon when at the full, 18 That you shall most certainly enter one state after another. 19 What then is the matter with them, that they believe not?- 20 When the Quran is read to them, why do they not fall to their knees? ۩ 21 In fact the disbelievers keep denying. 22 But Allah has full knowledge of what they secrete (in their breasts) 23 So give them the good news of a painful chastisement, 24 except those that believe, and do righteous deeds -- theirs shall be a wage unfailing. 25
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
