The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 roaring over the hearts 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
