T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he cast it down; and lo! it was a serpent running. 20 'Take it, and do not fear' He said, 'We will restore it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
