The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
