Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
