The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 The great doer of what He will. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
