The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? You are a people who transgress all bounds." 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 We destroyed the others 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
