The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: 'It may be that riding behind you already is some part of that you seek to hasten on. 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor can you lead the blind when they have gone astray. You can make none hear except those who believe in Our signs and have come to peace and submission. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
