Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
