Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 They say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
