The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And thereupon he [went to Pharaoh and] made him aware of the great wonder [of God's grace]. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 and gathered his people together 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 you pay attention 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
