The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
