Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
