Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
