The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his family,- all 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
