It is Allah who made for you the grazing animals upon which you ride, and some of them you eat. 79 And there are advantages for you in them, and that you may attain thereon a want which is in your breasts, and upon them and upon the ships you are borne. 80 And He shows you His signs. So which of the signs of Allah do you deny? 81 Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them. 82 And when their apostles came unto them with evidences, they exulted in the knowledge which was with them, and there surrounded them that which they had been mocking. 83 And then, when they [clearly] beheld Our punishment, they said: "We have come to believe in the One God, and we have renounced all belief in that to which we were wont to ascribe a share in His divinity!" 84 But their professing the Faith when they (actually) saw Our Punishment was not going to profit them. (Such has been) Allah's Way of dealing with His Servants (from the most ancient times). And even thus did the Rejecters of Allah perish (utterly)! 85
