The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
