And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
