We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
