Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
Verily the tree of Zaqqum: 43 is food for the sinner. 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 Like the boiling of scalding water. 46 “Seize him, and forcibly drag him right to the blazing fire.” 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water, 48 Taste this; you who considered yourself the mighty, the honourable! 49 “Indeed this is what you used to doubt about.” 50 Verily! The Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), will be in place of Security (Paradise). 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in security. 55 They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire, 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 Therefore We have made this (Qur'an) easy in your tongue. They may haply take a warning. 58 Wait then (O Muhammad SAW); Verily, they (too) are waiting. 59

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
