▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a book that is protected 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
