O you who have attained to faith! Be conscious of God with all the consciousness that is due to Him, and do not allow death to overtake you ere you have surrendered yourselves unto Him. 102 All of you united hold fast to the rope of God (the Quran and His Messenger), and recall how He favored you when your hostility to each other had torn you apart. He united your hearts in one faith and through His Grace you became brothers. You were on the verge of falling headlong into the abyss of fire, but God saved you. This is how God explains to you His revelations so that you may have the right guidance. 103 Let there be one nation of you that shall call to righteousness, ordering honor, and forbidding dishonor. Those are the prosperous. 104 Do not be like those who turned into quarrelling sects after receiving clear authoritative evidence. They will suffer a great torment. 105 On the day when some faces will become white and others black, God will ask the people with the faces which have become black, "Why did you give up your faith? Now suffer the torment for your disbelief". 106 And those whose faces will be shining, are in the mercy of Allah; they will abide in it forever. 107 These are the mes sages of Allah which We recite to you in truth, and Allah desires no wrong to the people of the world. 108 And unto God belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and all things go back to God [as their source]. 109
