The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
